Summer is slowly arriving in Cape Town but it’s not just the sunshine that is brightening up our days here at GOLD. In the past couple of weeks, we have been blessed to have been inundated with fantastic reviews from diners all over the world who have enjoyed a night at GOLD.

Lauren Coetzee – 5/5 – “An authentically articulated night of great food and wonderful entertainment. As you arrive to the sound of drums playing, you are welcomed to a table by friendly staff from all over Africa who are eager to share their culture and stories with you. This place is special in that it is true to its culture and heritage. Not only is the food amazing, but the whole night is an event. There are multiple performances and outfit changes throughout the evening, charismatic performers who woo you into partaking, the most incredible musicians and wonderful entertainers. This is not just a restaurant! Make sure to try one of their unique signature cocktails!”
Mishi – 5/5 – “Surprised my husband for his 40th birthday with dinner of a different kind. Not only was the food amazing, the staff, drinks, ambiance and even the entertainment were top quality. I highly recommend Gold for GOLD.”
Floriane Gard – 5/5 – “Much more than a restaurant, it’s an incredible experience! The prices are really reasonable, the food is amazing, the staff are wonderful, the shows are magnificent. Smiles are on all faces. One of the best restaurants of my life.”
Cristal T – 5/5 – “Excellent Dinner. My husband and I went to Gold our first night in Cape Town and had a great experience. They offer a 14-course meal with vegetarian options. Absolutely everything was delicious. There was face painting, drum lessons and entertainment between courses. It sounds like a lot but everything works together very well and was a lot of fun. The service was also excellent.”

It’s truly a unique experience and definitely worth it. Love the decor, the vibe. They cater for dietary requirements which you can specify when you book. Recommended for both locals and tourists.”
Meagan G – 5/5 – “Worth doing. This was our first dinner in Cape Town and it was a great way to get into the African spirit. The entertainment is fantastic, the tasting menu allows you to try a ton of local food, and they accommodated me as a vegetarian no problem.”
Luis Vieira – 5/5 – “Delightful surprise. I thought Gold was excellent on all levels. For starters, the venue is delightful and done to a high standard and spec. The waiters were pleasant, polished, professional, knowledgeable and efficient (and clean and neatly dressed) – everything you want in a service person. The service was excellent! The food was surprisingly delicious – always tricky to produce so many courses for so many people – but they managed. Personally-speaking, the food was fresh, delicious and of a high standard. And, finally, the entertainment was excellent too – just enough to keep you delighted and interested and intrigued and absorbed, which is not always easy to do as a South African who has seen something similar on many occasions. I thoroughly enjoyed my experience and I highly recommend it to everyone, including Capetonians and other South Africans.”

All of the performers are very talented and they made the atmosphere very festive and alive. We will definitely come back the next time we are in Cape Town!”
